About the Role

As a Chicken Farm Labourer, you will play an important role in the care and management of poultry, ensuring high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Feeding and watering birds
• Collecting and grading eggs (where applicable)
• Shed cleaning and general equipment maintenance
• Assisting with health checks, vaccinations, and treatments
• Humane culling of birds when required, following strict welfare protocols
• General farm upkeep and support tasks

Hours & Pay

• Roster: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary)
• Average Weekly Hours: 27
• Pay Rate: Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience

What We’re Looking For

• Physically fit and comfortable working in a farm environment
• Willingness to handle poultry, including culling when required
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous farm or poultry experience desirable but not essential — full training provided
