Location: Ipswich Area – Sporting Complex Environment
Pay Rate: Up to $32 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 12:00 pm (5 hours per day)
Employment Type: Casual, with potential ongoing work

We’re seeking a dedicated Parks & Gardens Groundsman to support the upkeep and presentation of a well‑established sporting complex. This role offers consistent hours, a supportive environment, and the chance to take pride in maintaining high‑quality grounds used by local athletes and community groups.

Key Duties

• Mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and general grounds upkeep
• Turf maintenance across sporting fields
• Operating equipment including ride‑on mowers, tractors, brush cutters, blowers, and other machinery
• Conducting basic irrigation checks and minor repairs
• Ensuring grounds are safe, clean, and well‑presented for training and events
• Managing daily tasks independently with minimal supervision

About You

• Previous experience in parks & gardens, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
• Confident operating a wide range of horticulture and grounds machinery
• Able to work independently and manage your workload efficiently
• Physically fit, reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices
• Strong work ethic with pride in presentation and quality
• (Desirable) Certificate III in Parks & Gardens or Horticulture
