Trade Assistant – Acacia Ridge – Immediate Start

Pay Rate: From $32.00/hr (casual) – negotiable, dependent on skills and experience
Location: Acacia Ridge, QLD
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3.00pm
Start Date: Immediate start
Employment Type: Temporary, casual - with potential for permanency

Recruitment 24/7 is seeking an experienced Trade Assistant for our client located in Acacia Ridge. Our client is a family-owned and operated steel fabrication workshop that manufactures custom equipment for the Earthmoving and Construction industries. This is an ongoing position, offering a long-term opportunity to the right candidate.

This role offers a variety of tasks each day and suits someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work in a supportive workshop environment. Experience in a fabrication or engineering workshop is highly advantageous, and all relevant training will be provided. Key Duties

• Forklift operation, including loading and unloading of trucks
• Grinding, painting, packing, and strapping outgoing goods
• Performing small oxy cutting tasks (experience will be highly regarded)
• Supporting all general workshop and fabrication duties

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

• A current LF Forklift Licence (mandatory requirement)
• A current High Risk Work Licence – CB (Bridge/Gantry Crane)
• Proven experience operating forklifts and overhead gantry cranes
• Ability to read and interpret dispatch details and hand-mark goods accordingly
• Reliable transport to Acacia Ridge for 7am start, Monday to Friday
• Good teamwork skills and pride in workmanship
• A good level of physical fitness
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
