Construction Manager – Residential Framing

Location: Larapinta, Brisbane QLD
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 + super + vehicle

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of installation operations across South East Queensland. You will lead safety, quality, delivery and commercial performance across every active framing site.

You’ll manage and develop a team that includes:

• Site Supervisors
• Service & Install Coordinator
• Maintenance Carpenters
• Subcontract Framing Crews

This is an operational leadership role, not a tools‑on position. You’ll be based at the Larapinta facility, spending time on sites only when needed to check quality, resolve issues or strengthen relationships.

Most of your work is proactive: planning, coordination, performance management and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate closely with Production, Design and Sales to ensure the full supply chain—from detailing to handover—runs smoothly and consistently.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will have:

• Reviewed all active sites, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
• Established a structured weekly operating rhythm with supervisors and the install coordinator
• Implemented clear systems for tracking and resolving site issues
• Reduced escalations to the General Manager by taking full operational ownership

Ongoing, you will be measured on:

• DIFOT at or above 95%
• Reduction in repeat defects and rectification cost
• Supervisors independently solving day‑to‑day issues
• Consistent performance from reliable subcontractor crews
• Builders recognising the company as their preferred framing partner

About You

You’re a proven construction leader with deep, hands‑on framing knowledge. You understand load paths, bracing, tie‑down, sequencing and the reality of getting a frame built right—the first time.

You come from residential construction and know how to lead people, manage subs, and build trust with builders. Whether you’ve moved up from the tools, site supervision or construction management, what matters is your ability to deliver strong operational outcomes.

You bring:

• Strong framing knowledge and technical confidence
• Experience in residential construction, framing or site management
• The maturity to uphold standards—even when conversations are hard
• Commercial awareness and disciplined cost control
• Clear, confident communication at all levels
• The ability to attract, develop and retain quality subcontractor crews
• A structured, system‑driven approach to operations
  Steel framing experience is welcomed but not essential.
