Plant Operator – Casual Position

Location: Ipswich
Pay Rate: Above award

Recruitment 24/7 is seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Plant Operator to join our client’s team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing casual work with a reputable and well‑established company.

About the Role

As a Plant Operator, you will play a key role in supporting daily site operations. Duties include:

• Operating dozers, excavators, and a water cart
• Completing pre‑start checks and basic machinery maintenance
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
• Following all Workplace Health & Safety and environmental regulations
• Assisting with general labouring duties as required
• Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members

This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to adapt to changing site requirements.

Qualifications & Licences

Required

• Current plant operating tickets (excavator, dozer, or equivalent)
• Valid driver’s licence (HR or higher desirable)
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery
• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa

Desirable

• VOCs for relevant machinery
• Water cart operating experience
• White Card

Experience & Skills

Required

• Proven experience operating dozers and excavators
• Strong understanding of safe work practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑driven

Desirable

• Ability to adapt to changing workloads
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and professional presentation
