Warehouse Manager – Ipswich

Salary: $85,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience

An opportunity is available for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role suits a hands-on leader who can manage people, improve efficiency and maintain a safe, organised and customer-focused workplace.
The role provides responsibility for warehouse performance, team leadership and continuous improvement, with a direct contribution to overall branch outcomes.
As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations while leading, mentoring and developing staff. You will manage productivity, workplace safety, staffing, workflow planning and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong organisational skills, clear communication and a practical leadership approach.
Key responsibilities include allocating and supervising daily warehouse tasks to ensure efficient operations. You will manage workloads, staffing levels, quality control and workflow planning. You will conduct daily toolbox or team meetings with staff and supervisors. You will oversee all stock movements including receivals, despatch, returns and compliance with internal procedures. You will manage recruitment, staff performance management and disciplinary processes where required. You will identify and implement improvements to waste management and operational efficiency. You will ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and Chain of Responsibility obligations. You will oversee the maintenance of forklifts, vehicles, equipment and machinery. You will manage cleaning rosters covering the warehouse, office, amenities and yard areas. You will provide a high standard of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will actively support a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
Essential requirements for this role include a current open Australian manual driver’s licence, a current forklift licence, and a current First Aid certificate including CPR.
Desirable qualifications include a Diploma in Logistics and Warehousing Operations or Frontline Management and a current MR truck licence.
Essential experience includes a strong background in warehouse operations and demonstrated experience supervising or managing teams. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while remaining organised, professional and calm.
Desirable experience includes exposure to manufacturing environments and knowledge of continuous improvement practices and modern warehouse systems.
