Residential Framing Construction Manager – Larapinta, QLD – Full-Time

Location: Larapinta, QLD
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $130,000/year – $150,000/year + Super + Company Vehicle

If you’ve spent years delivering results on sites for other people, you already know the reality: great outcomes only happen when someone sets the standard—and holds it.

This is your opportunity to own an entire installation division, build a high‑performing team, establish the systems others rely on, and run residential framing operations as if they were your own.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of residential framing installation operations across South East Queensland.

You will be accountable for safety, quality, delivery, and commercial performance across every active site while leading and developing a multi‑disciplinary team that includes:

  • Site Supervisors
  • Service & Install Coordinator
  • Maintenance Carpenters
  • Subcontract Framing Crews

This is a senior operational leadership role, not a tools‑on position. Based at the Larapinta facility, you’ll attend sites as required to verify quality, resolve issues, and strengthen builder relationships. The majority of your role is proactive—focused on planning, coordination, performance management, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with Production, Design, and Sales to ensure a seamless supply chain from detailing through to handover.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Review all active sites to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Establish a structured weekly operating rhythm with supervisors and the install coordinator
  • Implement clear systems for tracking and resolving site issues
  • Reduce escalations to the General Manager by taking full operational ownership

Ongoing success will be measured by:

  • DIFOT at or above 95%
  • Reduced repeat defects and rectification costs
  • Supervisors confidently solving day‑to‑day issues independently
  • Consistent performance from reliable subcontractor crews
  • Builders recognising the business as their preferred framing partner

About You

You are a proven construction leader with strong, hands‑on residential framing knowledge. You understand load paths, bracing, tie‑down requirements, sequencing, and what it truly takes to get framing right the first time.

Whether you’ve progressed from the tools, site supervision, or construction management, what matters most is your ability to lead people and deliver consistent operational outcomes.

You bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge in residential framing
  • Experience in residential construction, framing, or site management
  • The confidence to uphold standards—even in difficult conversations
  • Commercial awareness and disciplined cost control
  • Clear, professional communication at all levels
  • The ability to attract, develop, and retain quality subcontractor crews
  • A structured, system‑driven approach to operations

Steel framing experience is highly advantageous, but not essential.

This Role Is Not for Everyone

Please do not apply if you:

  • Avoid difficult or performance‑based conversations
  • Prefer being on the tools rather than leading teams
  • Operate reactively and rely on constant firefighting
  • View subcontractors as disposable rather than long‑term partners

Why Join This Business and What’s On Offer?

  • True accountability: Full ownership of safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the division
  • Growth ahead: Significant investment and a strong expansion pipeline
  • Leadership influence: Direct reporting line to the General Manager
  • Values‑driven culture: Accountability, commitment, service, collaboration, quality, and trust
  • Modern facility: Purpose‑built Larapinta operation designed for high performance
  • Competitive Salary Rate: $130,000 – $150,000 + superannuation (negotiable based on experience)
  • Assigned company work vehicle
  • Career growth opportunities as the division continues to expand
