We are urgently seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join a growing steel fabrication team. This role may also suit a trade-qualified Boilermaker with strong drafting capabilities and experience using Advanced Steel and AutoCAD.

Currently supported by tradespeople performing drafting duties, we are looking to appoint a dedicated third team member to strengthen our design and production capability.

About the Role

• Produce detailed workshop drawings for structural steel and metalwork projects
  
• Respond to a variety of drafting requests and provide technical support to Project Managers
  
• Liaise with customers at a design level, providing input and practical solutions
  
• Conduct 3D scanning, site measurements, and inspections to verify design constraints
  
• Maintain strong communication and working relationships across teams
  
  Skills & Experience
  
• Essential: Demonstrated experience with Advanced Steel and AutoCAD
  
• Trade background (Boilermaker) highly regarded
  
• Experience working within quality management systems, procedures, and work practices
  
• Current Queensland manual driver’s licence
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
