Precast Concrete Team Leader – Immediate Start – Riverview, QLD

Pay Rate: $39.33/hr (Casual)
Hours: Varying shifts - Monday to Friday, between 5:00am and 3:30pm

Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precast concrete infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Leading Hand to join our Client’s production team.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the assembly, modification, and concrete pouring of products. Reporting directly to the Precast Shed Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
About the Role
As the Leading Hand, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the vertical leg assembly and pouring process, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the setup, assembly, modification, and pouring of vertical leg formwork
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Oversee safe concrete pouring activities from certified work platforms
- Drive quality outcomes and ensure finished products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Complete forklift pre-start safety inspections via iPad
- Ensure ladders, work platforms, and other safety equipment remain compliant and operational
- Monitor raw material levels and communicate shortages to the Precast Shed Foreman
- Identify and report quality issues, discrepancies, hazards, and incidents
- Promote and maintain strong housekeeping standards across the assembly and pouring areas
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing, formwork assembly, construction, or a similar industrial environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Forklift and/or crane operating experience will be highly regarded.
Requirements
- Fit and healthy, capable of working outdoors (experience required)
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fitness testing
- White Card - Construction Induction (mandatory requirement)
- Reliable transport for early starts (5:00am)
