Precast Concrete Team Leader – Immediate Start – Riverview, QLD

Location: Riverview, QLD
Pay Rate: $39.33/hr (Casual)
Hours: Varying shifts - Monday to Friday, between 5:00am and 3:30pm
Employment Type: Temporary, Casual
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precast concrete infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Leading Hand to join our Client’s production team.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the assembly, modification, and concrete pouring of products. Reporting directly to the Precast Shed Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

About the Role

As the Leading Hand, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the vertical leg assembly and pouring process, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the setup, assembly, modification, and pouring of vertical leg formwork
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Oversee safe concrete pouring activities from certified work platforms
  • Drive quality outcomes and ensure finished products meet company standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
  • Complete forklift pre-start safety inspections via iPad
  • Ensure ladders, work platforms, and other safety equipment remain compliant and operational
  • Monitor raw material levels and communicate shortages to the Precast Shed Foreman
  • Identify and report quality issues, discrepancies, hazards, and incidents
  • Promote and maintain strong housekeeping standards across the assembly and pouring areas

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing, formwork assembly, construction, or a similar industrial environment
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Forklift and/or crane operating experience will be highly regarded.

Requirements

  • Fit and healthy, capable of working outdoors (experience required)
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fitness testing
  • White Card - Construction Induction (mandatory requirement)
  • Reliable transport for early starts (5:00am)
  • Punctual, dependable, and committed to ongoing full time work
