Internal Salesperson – Immediate Start – Acacia Ridge, QLD

Pay Rate: From $41.11/hr - $47.44/hr (casual) based on skill and experience
Location: Acacia Ridge, QLD
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3.30pm
Start Date: Immediate start available
Employment Type: Temporary, casual - with potential for permanent placement

Join a leading Australian steel manufacturing business servicing the Earthmoving, Mining, Crushing & Screening industries.

Our Client is a specialist manufacturing company producing steel wear products and processing services for customers across a range of heavy industries. With products designed to protect plant and equipment from wear, abrasion and demanding operating conditions. Due to continued growth, our Client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Salesperson to join their team.

About the Role

This is a diverse and hands-on role that combines internal sales, customer service, quoting, administration and sales support. You will be an important link between customers, production team and logistics operations, ensuring enquiries and orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Working within a small, supportive team environment, you will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, following up opportunities and coordinating the administration required to convert sales into production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process customer quotations in a timely manner.
  • Follow up quotations and sales opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Convert quotations into sales orders.
  • Generate workshop documentation and delivery dockets.
  • Perform accurate data entry and administration tasks.
  • Liaise with customers, workshop personnel and transport providers.
  • Assist with dispatch coordination and transport bookings.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with quotations and pricing.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience processing sales orders and related administration.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience within the steel, manufacturing or engineering industries.
  • Knowledge of products used within the Earthmoving, Mining, Crushing & Screening sectors.
  • Experience coordinating dispatch of finished goods.
  • Experience arranging transport bookings and preparing associated documentation.
