Recruitment 247 is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join our client's maintenance team on a temporary contract. Working within a two-person crew, you will assist in delivering scheduled painting and maintenance programs across a variety of community facilities and public assets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified painter who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining public spaces to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Painting and maintaining public facilities and infrastructure

Surface preparation including sanding, scraping and cleaning

Painting of:

Rotundas

Fences

Outdoor furniture

Playgrounds

Public amenities and toilet facilities

General maintenance and related duties as required

Working safely within a two-person maintenance crew

Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures at all times

To Be Considered You Must Have

Trade Qualifications in Painting and Decorating

Current C Class Driver's Licence

Current Construction Industry White Card (General Safety Induction Card)

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Excellent communication skills and professional presentation

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment

Ability to pass a criminal history check

Position Details

Location: Ipswich Region

Hours: 6:15am – 3:15pm (76-hour fortnight)

Contract Duration: 20 October 2026 to 8 January 2027

Role Type: Casual Contract
