Event Manager - Full Time Permanent

Location: Ipswich, QLD

Salary: Approximately $79,000

About the Role

Recruitment 247 are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Event Manager on behalf of our client for a full-time permanent position based in Ipswich.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and coordinating a team of event staff while ensuring the successful delivery of promotional events and demonstrations across multiple locations. The successful candidate will oversee events from planning through to execution, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of promotional events and product demonstrations.
  
• Recruit, onboard, train, and manage event staff.
  
• Develop event schedules, rosters, and staffing allocations.
  
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure successful event outcomes.
  
• Monitor event performance and provide post-event reporting.
  
• Ensure all events are conducted safely and in accordance with WHS requirements.
  
• Manage budgets, event resources, and event materials.
  
• Conduct site visits and attend events as required.
  
• Resolve operational issues and ensure a positive customer experience.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venues, suppliers, and team members.
  
• Assist with business development activities and identify opportunities for growth.
  
  Skills & Experience
  
• Previous experience in event management, promotions, hospitality management, marketing, or a similar leadership role.
  
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Ability to manage multiple events, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience with rostering, scheduling, and workforce management.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
  
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  
  Desirable Qualifications
  
• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  
• First Aid Certificate.
  
• Experience within promotional marketing, retail demonstrations, or experiential marketing environments.
