Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for an Experienced Production Area Manager for our Wacol based manufacturing client.
To be considered for this role you must have experience in the food industry, as this is a competitive and lean production environment. There is a generous salary on offer of $100,000 for an applicant that meets the requirements of the role.
This role is in a fast paced, food grade facility with FMCG and GMP standards. The role requires a strong presence across all shifts and the flexibility to work various rosters and days.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and results orientated person who is able to meet most of the following criteria:
- Educating, coaching, engaging, and developing the team to achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery, operational efficiency (OEE), safety, and quality.
- Ensuring the production schedule is adhered to, with countermeasures implemented, as required, to manage day-to-day production and employee issues.
- Ensure that safety, quality, and people outcomes are delivered with the company values embedded in the daily operations.
- Foster a Safety First culture through daily huddles, toolbox talks and ensure compliance with regulations, working closely with Health & Safety.
- Develop Team Leaders technical and personal skills through sound leadership and training, including the effective implementation of the Company’s performance management systems.
- Management of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods.
- Manage the compliant and cost-effective use of permanent and casual staff for the area, including minimising overtime, when possible, and the effective rostering of worker contracted hours.
- Food industry/production background and/or at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role.
