Diesel Fitter

Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a Diesel Mechanic/ Diesel Fitter for our client at Wacol to join their maintenance team. We are seeking a candidate who is hands-on, a self-starter, flexible and able to prioritise tasks.

The pay rate for this position is $55- $60 dependent on experience,

This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work available.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform mechanical maintenance activities including breakdowns, preventative, planned and unscheduled work.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, mobile and fixed plant machinery, and other heavy equipment.
• Assist in assembling, installing, and maintaining new plant equipment, including installation of a new shredder.
• Ensure all activities meet health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards and requirements.
  
  Requirements for this position:
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Trade qualification.
• Drivers’ licence and a reliable vehicle.
